First Reno Rotary and Reno Arts & Culture Commission Sculpture Park 2016-2017
New Sculptures Coming to Bicentennial Park
The Reno Arts & Culture Commission, Public Art Committee, and Rotary Club of Reno are pleased to announce the purchase of four sculptures for permanent display in Bicentennial Park.
Trò chơi rất caoThe Arts & Culture Commission partnered with the Rotary Club of Reno to create the sculpture park at Bicentennial Park and started planning in 2014. On November 4, 2016 the City dedicated the Reno Rotary Bicentennial Park (located on the southeast corner of First and Ralston Streets along the Truckee River) which houses four freestanding pedestals and two at grade footings to hold sculpture installations along the river for the enjoyment of visitors to the river corridor.
Trò chơi rất caoMany of the temporary sculptures now located in the park will be de-installed in mid-May. There will be some construction to create footings for two of the new sculptures as well as restoration on the Charles Ginnever piece. The new sculptures and the refreshed Charles Ginnever will be installed at the end of June.
